China Biographical Database

Faculty Member: Professor Peter Bol

We are recruiting a part-time Research Assistant to help the China Biographical Database maintain its website newsfeed, manage project documents, and create videos for promotion. The assistant must be a Harvard College undergraduate student during employment. The following skills are required:

  1. Fluency in Chinese and English; good reading and writing skills in both
  2. Basic knowledge of HTML for designing websites
  3. Ability to learn new skills quickly and be receptive to feedback

Duration: June to Dec. 2016
Work hours: Flexible, at least 4 hours per week

This position is part of the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URS) in the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University. If hired, students will participate in the IQSS URS program. Scholars must be current Harvard College undergraduates.
